Markout is a product of 007 Technologies LLC (“Markout,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We operate the Markout platform, which provides free, AI-graded mock interviews for consulting and investment-banking preparation (the “Service”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account details: such as your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Profile and preferences: such as your target roles, firms, or practice focus.
- Interview content: your responses, submissions, and any text or audio you provide during a mock interview.
- Communications: messages you send us for support or feedback.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, sessions completed, scores, and progress.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used to keep you signed in and to understand how the Service is used.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including grading interviews and generating feedback.
- To personalize your experience and track your progress and leaderboard standing.
- To improve and develop the Service, including our AI grading and content.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. AI Processing
Interview responses you submit are processed by automated systems (including third-party AI models) to generate scores and feedback. We take reasonable steps to limit the data shared with these systems to what is needed to deliver the Service. We do not use your submissions to identify you to other users beyond the features you participate in. Public leaderboards are on by default and show your display name, school and XP. You can turn this off during signup, or at any time from your Account.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers: hosting, analytics, and AI providers who process data on our behalf under contract.
- Legal and safety: where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Markout, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@007technologies.com. You can manage cookies at any time through your browser settings.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. International Users
Markout is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
